B Du Bois read and performed by toriasuncle. B. Du Bois.
The book, published in 1903, contains several essays on race, some of which had been previously published in Atlantic Monthly magazine. Du Bois drew from his own experiences to develop this groundbreaking work on being African-American in American society. Outside of its notable place in African-American history, The Souls of Black Folk also holds an important place in social science as one of the first works to deal with sociology.

Listened to this over a long weekend trip. By the time I got home I'd already recommended it to three people. The Souls of Black Folk is just one of those books that sticks.
The narration quality on this is impressive. Clear, well-paced, and the tone matches the content perfectly. Makes a big difference when you're listening for hours.
I kept pausing to think about what I just heard. That's the mark of a good book for me — when it makes you stop and actually reflect. The Souls of Black Folk did that consistently.
Not a single chapter felt like filler. W.E.B. Du Bois respects your time and delivers value throughout. Went in expecting decent, came out genuinely impressed.
