recording of The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Read by Ashleighjane. When Mary Lennox, who has been brought up in India in a spoiled manner, is orphaned she has to move to Yorkshire, England, to live with her uncle in Misselthwaite Manor.
Here she is treated much differently than she was in India - she is able to make friends with children her own age, one of these being her sickly cousin, Colin Craven (Introduction by ashleighjane) For further information, including links to online text, reader information, RSS feeds, CD cover or other formats (if available), please go to the catalog page for this recording. org.

I specifically look for audiobooks with a natural narration style — nothing worse than robotic delivery. This nails it. Very easy to listen to for long stretches.
Some chapters hit differently depending on where you are in life. I think I needed to hear The Secret Garden right now. Perfect timing, perfect book.
Good balance of depth and accessibility. You don't need a background in this topic to follow along, but it never feels dumbed down either. Well done.
Finished it in four sittings. Usually takes me weeks to get through an audiobook. Says a lot about how gripping The Secret Garden is.
