recording of The Book of Dragons, by Edith Nesbit. Read by Laurie Anne Walden. A dragon who flies out of a magical book; one whose purr quiets a fussy baby; another who eats an entire pack of tame hunting-hippopotomuses: These eight dragon tales are filled with the imaginative wit of children's author Edith Nesbit.

I stumbled onto The Book of Dragons randomly and honestly? Best accident ever. The way Edith Nesbit explains things — it just clicks. I've tried similar books and they always felt dry. This one actually kept me engaged start to finish.
Okay so I'm not usually big on audiobooks but a friend insisted I try this. Three chapters in and I was completely sold. The Book of Dragons is genuinely well-made — the content, the pacing, all of it.
Found this on Unodio and wasn't expecting much. Two hours later I was still going. Edith Nesbit doesn't waste your time with filler — every chapter earns its place.
I've been listening during my evening walks and The Book of Dragons has been the highlight of my week honestly. There's a section in the middle where it all just comes together — gave me chills.
